Simple bedding items like bedsheets and pillowcases are easy to take care off but washing and maintaining your down inserts can be a little intimidating. Do Not Wet Wash
Washing down products can harm them. However, in case you have spilled something on them, then partial wash only the areas that are dirty.
Dry Clean
A strong washing cycle or harsh laundry detergents can harm them. This is why washing them at home is not a good idea. If your they become really dirty, then send them to a professional dry cleaner.
Lukewarm Water
Extreme hot or cold water can be very hard on them. Opt for lukewarm water (20 to 30°) to wash them if necessary.
Proper Drying
Hang them on the clothing wire to dry them out completely. If you don’t completely dry them, mold formation can occur.
Proper Storage
After the moisture is completely evaporated, store them by properly wrapping them in a cotton sheet.
For best maintenance, take them out and place them outside on a warm day under the sun for a couple of hours.
